Butterflies fly free

All your travel needs, from tickets to knickers, can be found here. Simply scroll down and click on an ad of your choice to be transported directly to their website.  And yes, this is their actual home site; you can feel safe ordering there. No tricks, just clicks.

These days the average time spent on a web site is about 30 seconds.  I sincerely invite you to spend many minutes to check out this site; there are many very interesting links here.

etravelbillboard was instituted to provide a clean, simple and orderly place for interested people to make informed choices about their future travel. In other words, to help in decision-making. I'm trying to provide enough choices to actually have a choice and not too many, like so many other web sites, that the information becomes overwhelming.  (I guess that's the internet in a nutshell.)  In order to keep the page design relatively clean, banners, animated ads, etc. are on one long scrollable page, sort of like a directory. No bailout money was used to develop this page. I hope people will reciprocate by placing this page on their favorites list.

When ready to plan your trip, simply click on the ads of your choice, do a little comparison shopping and then follow through. (Most important!)

Since the internet has basically turned into an advertising machine, it's often difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. I am providing space for companies that are well known and respected. However, like anything bought sight unseen, problems or disappointments sometimes surface.

Major flight booking site are here to help you make comparisons between price, convenience, and options. And schedules.  Surprisingly, I've found that different sites offer different flights to the same destination - and with the same airline. Beats me how this is done.
Major travel companies are also listed, so it's possible to compare prices, car rental, or hotels, without a lot of searching. Virtually all your travel needs can be purchased through these sites. I've used most of them at one time or the other and have been pleased with the results.

In any case, I hope visitors to this site who actually plan on enjoying a respite from the home fires soon, or sooner, will utilize what I have presented here.

Since the fall of the wall, the former communist bloc countries have been upgrading their tourism facilities. This was evident at all the building and renovation that we saw on a trip to Prague a few years ago. It was interesting to see that while Prague was being given a facelift, some of the towns and villages on the train route to their capital city, still looked like they just came out of WWII. (This was noticeable in East Berlin, as well, as we were there the day after the wall came down.) Some of the most striking scenery in Europe was formerly banned to the rest of the world.  If you don't want to miss a truly astonishing travel experience Eastern Europe should be high on your bucket list. Here's a site that should provide some insight above travel behind the former Iron Curtain.

For a look at the beautiful Italian lakes, give Crystal a try.  Of course they're also a full service travel agency with many sightly off the beaten path destinations.

There are awesome sights in most European countries and it would be impossible to rank them #1, #2, etc.  However, Spain would have to rank right up there at the top.  It has everything, from snow-capped mountains, to desert, and palm-lined sandy beaches.  And they all can be reached in one day.  Tunisia sounds interesting, but honestly, I can't judge as I've never been there.  Well, I did see the lights of Morocco far across the Mediterranean from the coast along Marbella, Spain.  Does that count?

Spain or Tunisia?

I've met a lot of people from South America, and guess what? They're just like me. Their countries sound like fascinating places to visit. Here's a hotel group that provides first class services in several countries that may (or may not) be high on most people's travel list. However, the Canary Islands have long been a retreat for vacationing Europeans - from all countries.  Might be the place to go to meet up with a Count, Duke, or whatever.

Canary Islands, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Chile, or Spain?
